Deep Media Filter Cabinet (4–5 inch)

The upgrade we recommend most often, and it is not the one people expect. A four- or five-inch media cabinet holds far more filter surface than a one-inch slot, which means it captures more while resisting airflow less — better filtration and less strain on the blower at the same time. It also stops the monthly filter ritual; most households move to a once-or-twice-a-year change. The catch is physical: the cabinet has to fit at the return, and in a tight closet or attic platform there is sometimes simply nowhere to put it.

Additional Return-Air Path

For systems that are starved on the return side — too little return area for the tonnage, which shows up as rooms that never balance, doors that thump, and a blower that is always working harder than it should. Adding return capacity is a duct modification, not an accessory, so it gets scoped against the existing system rather than sold off a shelf. When it is the right fix it is usually the fix that finally makes the filtration upgrade work.
